Cslan'Teeme- Forest 'Flora'

These are the primary lifeforms of A-7789's coastal forests. Both species are considered, for general purposes, to be flora, though in actuality neither is a plant. The Glow Flower Tree is a member of the class Cephalopoda (which includes Earth's Octopus and Squid), and the Plum Star is part of the Asteroidea class (Sea Stars). Both are descendants of marine species, like many of Cslan's land dwelling natives, and while the Glow Flower Tree has taken on photosynthesis, the Plum Star continues in the way of its ancestors- feeding on the microscopic organisms found in all waters on A-7789 (the Plum Star is the only lifeform on the planet to have a diet made up almost entirely of the organisms found in Cslan rain, thus its need to be in areas of high rain fall).
